FAST HOVs Continue to Grow, But Not As Much As Last Year

Amagi, one of the top platforms used by FAST channels to host and manage content, released its latest Airtime Report in March. Among the key numbers for the US & Canada, Hours of Viewing (HOVs) increased 17% and ad impressions increased 22% between Q4 2024 and Q4 2025. By comparison, during the prior year, HOVs increased 98%, while ad impressions increased 67%. So the growth of HOVs and ad impressions slowed, but that was somewhat expected given the recent hyper growth of FAST. If anything, the fact that ad impression growth surpassed that of HOVs in 2025 signals a stabilization of FAST ad CPMs, which tumbled last year about 30% with the massive growth in supply.

And the growth of HOVs may not necessarily be a function of increased viewership per channel, but rather related to the continued growth of FAST channels available from platforms such as Amazon Prime and Roku. According to FASTMASTER Intelligence, Amazon Prime carried a whopping 824 FAST channels as of February, while Roku carried 693. Meanwhile, Tubi and Pluto have kept their FAST channel count relatively constant with 179 and 399, respectively.
