We referenced Amagi’s previous Airtime report in our Q2 newsletter. Amagi has such a significant share in the FAST playout market that we consider their numbers to be a good proxy for the FAST ecosystem as a whole. In their latest report released in July, US & Canada HOVs (hours of viewing) grew 46% YOY (Q2 2025 to Q2 2026) while ad impressions grew 58%. That’s the second time in a row that ad impression growth has surpassed HOV growth, signaling the end of downward pricing pressure. StreamVantage confirms that CPMs have stabilized and, in fact, slightly increased across our system in 2026.
Other US & Canada data points that we find interesting (which are fairly consistent with the FAST & Curious 4 report):
· The Entertainment (scripted & unscripted) and News genres lead the way in content representing 43% and 31% of HOVs, respectively.
· Entertainment ad impressions grew 73% YOY while News ad impressions grew 50%
· Sports represented only 5% of HOVs and ad impressions grew only 10%, emphasizing that FAST has a long way to go to grow viewership among sports fans.
